Who is responsible?

What WSLASH processes and why

When you send an email

If you email WSLASH, WSLASH processes your name, your email address, the content of your message and anything else you choose to share, such as your organisation or role. WSLASH uses this to answer your question and, if you wish, to prepare an introduction or a collaboration.

Legal basis: WSLASH's legitimate interest in answering messages, and steps you request before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).

The quick check

The quick check runs entirely in your browser. What you tick is not sent to WSLASH and is not stored. If you choose to email the result, your own email program opens a message. WSLASH only receives what you send yourself.

Visiting the website

As with any website, the hosting provider's server records technical data about visits, such as IP address, time, the page requested and the browser type. This data is needed to keep the website secure and available. WSLASH does not use it to track visitors or build profiles.

Legal basis: WSLASH's legitimate interest in a secure, working website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

How long WSLASH keeps data

WSLASH keeps emails for as long as needed for the conversation and any collaboration. If no collaboration follows, WSLASH deletes your data no later than two years after the last contact. Data related to an engagement is kept for as long as the law requires, such as the seven-year retention period for tax records. The hosting provider keeps server logs only for as long as needed for security and troubleshooting.

Who can see the data

WSLASH does not sell personal data or share it for marketing. Service providers that WSLASH needs for hosting and email process data only on WSLASH's instructions. Beyond that, WSLASH only shares data when the law requires it. If a service provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, this only happens with the safeguards the GDPR requires.

Links to other websites

This website links to other websites, such as LinkedIn. If you follow such a link, that website's privacy statement applies.

Security

The website only works over a secure connection (HTTPS) and loads no scripts or other files from third parties. WSLASH takes appropriate measures to protect personal data against loss and unauthorised access.

Your rights

You have the right to access your data and to have it corrected or deleted. You can also ask for processing to be restricted, object to processing and have your data transferred. Email info@wslash.nl to do so. WSLASH responds within one month.

Not happy with how WSLASH handles your data? Let WSLASH know. You can also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

WSLASH does not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing.
